Message: Subject: HAPPY NEW YEAR
Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends,
We contemplate what brought us joy,
And we think of our loved ones and our friends.
Recalling all the happy times,
Remembering how they enriched our lives,
We reflect upon who really counts,
As the fresh and bright new year arrives.
And when we ponder those who do,
we immediately think of you.
Thanks for being one of the reasons
We'll have a Happy New Year!

Message: Unconventional is how Australian Troops have overcome overwhelming odds in past confrontations, so really we cannot afford to lose that aspect of our Nation’s greatness.

Message: I have two suggestions, one, the formation of a Mountaineering Unit in the ACT, or Company and also the formation of additionally Companies in Queensland, SA/NT and Western Australia, which would give those states a participation in the Special Forces Brotherhood(sisters too) and a greater skills/imagination base to draw upon. Norforce could possibly form a basis for the formation of a more desert/extreme hot weather based commando group. Unconventional is the core of Commandos and it is how Commandos of the past have out foxed the likes of the Australian SAS; something not to be lost. There are those amongst the regulars who readily embrace non-conformity, however there are those that will always err toward the Conventional and resist all those outside the conventional realm. The conventional is the predictable, and the predictable is soon the defeated.

Message: Hello Lindsay, A good start to the new look Association. Is it possible to call 126 Sig Sqn at 2 Cdo Regt bt it's ORBAT name of 126 Cdo Sig Sqn? Also, it would be helpful to unclude the 2 Cdo Regt Badge. There is plenty of product available from the Defence Public Affairs of 4 RAR (Cdo) & 2 Cdo Regt in Ops & Home. Regards - Paul

Message: To Dixie Lee
It was not an error, the message you noted with the badges was for CURRENT Army units (The national welfare fund)therefore "Z" or "M" Special would not be included.

Message: I like the "Australian Commando Association" which will have the effect of combining all the units together.
In a previous message I noted all the icons and badges but the double green M & Z was missing.
I wish the Association well in the coming years.
